Set along Montecito’s shoreline, Rosewood Miramar Beach stands alone as the only true beachfront hotel in this celebrity-studded enclave. The Forbes Triple Five-Star resort offers sprawling oceanfront suites, a Michelin-starred restaurant, an Edomae-style sushi experience and multiple bars, all complemented by a calendar of curated summer events.

Inspired by the beautiful homes and grand estates of Montecito, the luxury resort’s 119 rooms and 34 suites are scattered across 16 acres of rolling lawns and lush landscaping. The spacious, elegantly furnished accommodations include beach retreats with terraces overlooking the sand, as well as independent garden bungalows.

This year brings a host of new experiences: Bounty, a seasonal dinner series in the garden featuring boutique Central Coast winemakers and vibrant wood-fired cooking; FronteMare, an open-air family-style dinner held at Caruso’s; and an elevated cocktail program at The Manor Bar, where new bar director Eliza Hoar is leading the charge with a literary-themed menu and a globe-spanning guest bartender series.

Willy Chavarria turns the Paris runway into a protest against ICE raids

California-born designer Willy Chavarria used his Spring/Summer 2026 show at Paris Men’s Fashion Week last month as a powerful protest against the dehumanizing treatment and forced deportation of immigrants in his home state and beyond.

Held at the historic Salle Pleyel, the show opened with 35 men in stark white T-shirts — created in collaboration with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)— a reference to mass incarceration and recent ICE raids under Trump-era immigration rhetoric.

The tees were not just symbolic. They were a direct statement against the dehumanization of immigrants in the U.S., with tags that read: “The ACLU dares to create a more perfect union – beyond one person, party, or side.” Chavarria, who has long worked with the ACLU, used the platform to amplify the organization’s message and spotlight the communities most under threat.

Known for blending activism and elegance, Chavarria called the collection “HURON” — a nod to his hometown in California’s Central Valley, where many immigrant laborers live and work. “I’m not interested in luxury as a symbol of privilege,” he said of the move. “I’m interested in luxury as a symbol of truth in one’s own character.”

The looks that followed were a sharp continuation of the designer’s exploration of identity, resistance and elevated subversion. Co-developed with head of design Rebeca Mendoza, the collection blended refined tailoring with a rebellious use of color and introduced a complete accessories line built around the signature “W” strapping detail.

Womenswear drew inspiration from filmmakers such as Pedro Almodóvar and Wong Kar-wai, while menswear introduced the relaxed “Chilango” silhouette. Core styles were repeated across vibrant textures and hues, with Italian-milled fabrics and richly finished leathers elevating pieces like the Bad Boy pants and trench-style dresses.

This season also marked a new chapter in the Adidas Originals x Willy Chavarria collaboration, introducing the new Megaride AG sneaker and continuing the designer’s exploration of high-performance fashion with a social conscience. The brand also unveiled a collaboration with iconic French luxury footwear house Charles Jourdan, reimagining beloved silhouettes from the archives through Chavarria’s bold lens

Music helped anchor the emotional resonance of the show, with a score by Michel Gaubert and a performance by Mexican singer-activist Vivir Quintana. Casting by Brent Chua included Paloma Elsesser, Becky G, 2 Chainz, James Harden and Sevdaliza, while styling by Carlos Nazario brought the full narrative to life.

Nespresso and The Weeknd debut the Samra Origins Collection

Singer-songwriter, record producer and actor The Weeknd and Samra Origins — his artisanal coffee brand — have partnered with Nespresso to launch a collaborative collection.

Co-founded by Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye and named in honor of his mother, Samra Origins reflects his deep personal connection to coffee rituals. The centerpiece of the release is the Togetherness Blend, a bold, rich roast created in partnership with Nespresso, alongside limited-edition drinkware including a tumbler and travel mug.

“Coffee runs deep in my family culture — it’s about gathering, sharing, reflecting,” Tesfaye said. “That’s what Samra Origins and Nespresso mean to me.”

Timed with the next phase of The Weeknd’s global After Hours ’til Dawn tour—and Nespresso’s role as headline sponsor — the release aligns with his performances at SoFi, part of a major cultural moment that blends sound, style and taste. Fans can expect exclusive experiences and coffee-led activations around select tour dates.

The Nespresso | Samra Origins launch is the first of several drops planned through the partnership, with more releases expected later this year.

LACMA and Michael Govan host a first look of the David Geffen Galleries

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and CEO Michael Govan welcomed guests June 26 for an exclusive first look at the David Geffen Galleries, the museum’s new permanent collection building currently under construction and scheduled to open in April 2026. Presented in its raw, unfinished architectural state, the event marked the first in a series of public programs ahead of the building’s debut.

Designed by Pritzker Prize–winning architect Peter Zumthor in collaboration with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the David Geffen Galleries span Wilshire Boulevard and feature a striking series of concrete and glass pavilions. The building includes 110,000-square-feet of gallery space, filled with natural light and fluid pathways that emphasize integration with the surrounding landscape. In addition to reimagining how LACMA presents its encyclopedic collection, the project introduces 3.5 acres of new public space, further connecting the museum to Hancock Park and the city beyond.

The evening showcased the debut performance of “Kamasi Washington Live” at the David Geffen Galleries — a large-scale musical activation led by the acclaimed bandleader and saxophonist. More than 100 musicians performed Washington’s celebrated composition “Harmony of Difference,” with the ensemble spread throughout the building’s expansive 110,000-square-foot gallery space.

The event also featured food stalls celebrating Los Angeles’ diverse culinary cultures, along with a pre-show DJ set by Novena Carmel, host of KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic.”

Notable guests in attendance included artists Ed Ruscha, Barbara Kruger, Alison Saar, Lauren Halsey, Glenn Kaino, Tacita Dean, Charles Gaines, Calida Rawles, Ruben Ochoa, Sarah Rosalena, Pedro Reyes, Diébédo Francis Kéré, Jorge Pardo and Refik Anadol.

Arts and museum leaders included Glenn Lowry of MoMA, Anne Pasternak of the Brooklyn Museum, Timothy Potts of the J. Paul Getty Museum, Zoë Ryan of the Hammer Museum, Sasha Suda of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Franklin Sirmans of Pérez Art Museum Miami and Joanne Heyler of The Broad.

The event also welcomed collectors, patrons and LACMA trustees including Cheech Marin, Thelma Golden, Tony Ressler, Gillian Wynn and Colleen Bell, alongside art world figures such as Jeffrey Deitch, David Maupin and Shaun Regen.

The program was presented in partnership with East West Bank, the lead sponsor of LACMA’s David Geffen Galleries opening events. Support for the reception series was provided by Christie’s.

This preview marks a milestone in LACMA’s transformation and signals the beginning of a new era for the museum’s campus and programming.

Casa Dani and Katsuya land at Westfield Century City

Hospitality group sbe has officially debuted two major culinary concepts at Westfield Century CityCasa Dani by three-Michelin-starred Spanish chef Dani García and a newly updated Katsuya Century City by master sushi chef Katsuya Uechi.

Balenciaga and Puma drop a new sportswear collaboration

Balenciaga and Puma drop a new sportswear collaboration

Balenciaga and Puma have officially launched their long-anticipated collaboration which was first unveiled during Balenciaga’s Winter 25 runway show. The collection blends Puma’s legacy in performance athletic wear with Balenciaga’s distinct design language, resulting in a range of footwear and ready-to-wear pieces that explore the crossover between technical sportswear and high fashion.

The footwear offering centers on the Speedcat Sneaker, originally introduced by Puma in 1999 with a flat sole engineered for racing and pedal feedback. Balenciaga reinterprets the silhouette in several new forms: the Destroyed Speedcat, a deconstructed version with a flexible, sock-like upper and a raw-cut Formstrip; a leather slip-on variant with a streamlined laceless profile; and the Balenciaga | Puma Ballerina, which merges the Speedcat’s structure with a ballet flat, crafted in satin.

Garments in the collection range from classic tracksuits in crisp and faded nylon to sweatsuits made from extra-dry molleton and stamped with Balenciaga’s lion crest—a nod to traditional soccer warm-up gear. The collection also includes co-branded hoodies, T-shirts and shorts in a variety of silhouettes, alongside standout items like a shearling track jacket and a trompe-l’œil bathrobe coat constructed in suede-lined molleton.

The accompanying campaign, shot by Dutch photographer Ari Versluis, features models wearing pieces from the collaboration alongside the Balenciaga Winter 25 collection. The campaign includes stills and video footage of models Diede, Tianee, Brooks, Yav, and Joe performing high-intensity gabber dance routines, set to the 1962 track Tous Les Garçons et Les Filles by Françoise Hardy.

The Balenciaga | Puma collection is now available in select Balenciaga stores and online.

Converse unveils the 1908 Program with Tyler, the Creator

Converse has cracked open the vault and dropped the first styles from 1908, a new archival collection that reintroduces deep cuts from the brand’s design history in collaboration with Tyler, the Creator.

The program debuts with two retro silhouettes from the 1970s: the Naut-1, a reboot of Converse’s classic boating shoe rooted in early 20th-century nautical design, and the Jogger, a nod to the brand’s athletic innovation and running heritage. Both styles were handpicked and reimagined by Tyler, who’s been wearing them on stage during his global “Chromakopia” tour.

The Naut-1 traces its origins to 1913, when Converse first introduced a yachting silhouette. It evolved through the decades into a boating shoe designed for both performance and style, with canvas uppers, non-corroding eyelets, a fast-drying sponge footbed and a herringbone tread for grip. The 2025 version honors the original while introducing modern refinements and is available in Starlight Blue, Dachshund and Cannoli Cream colorways.

The Jogger was first released in 1976 during the height of the jogging boom and built for casual athletic wear, with a wedge sole and wraparound heel detail for stability and comfort. The updated version maintains the vintage silhouette and is offered in Forest Shade, Bistre and Quiet Tide colorways.

With more than 115 years of design legacy to draw from, the 1908 Program is Converse’s latest effort to showcase the breadth of its archive. Designed as an ongoing platform, it connects past and present through storytelling, experimentation and the creative voices shaping what comes next.

The limited-edition Converse 1908 Naut-1 and Jogger are available now at Converse.com and GOLF le FLEUR*.

Sisley Paris and Patrick Foley unveil a lipstick inspired by Jaclyn Smith

Sisley Paris has partnered once again with celebrity makeup artist Patrick Foley for a new addition to its Phyto-Rouge Shine Sheer lipstick collection

This marks the second collaboration between the French luxury beauty brand and Foley, whose three-decade career includes red carpet work for some of Hollywood’s most celebrated faces. In 2023, Foley collaborated with Sisley on 13 Sheer Beverly Hills, a universally flattering beige tone that quickly became a bestseller and frequently sold out after launch.

The new shade, Bel Air, pays tribute to Foley’s longtime friend and muse, actress Jaclyn Smith, and the Los Angeles neighborhood she calls home. Designed as the perfect plum-berry nude, Bel Air was created to be a universally wearable mauve shade that eliminates the need to blend multiple lipsticks to achieve the ideal tone.

“Patrick and I embody the definition of true friends,” Smith said of the collaboration. “I’m honored that he found the inspiration in me to create Bel Air, something beautiful for women everywhere.”

To celebrate the launch, Smith and Foley hosted a dinner at the Hotel Bel-Air last month. Guests included Alana Stewart, Dyan Cannon, Susan Blakely and Morgan Fairchild.

As with the Beverly Hills collaboration, the creation of Bel Air involved close work between Foley and the d’Ornano family — founders of Sisley Paris — and their international color team, with formulas and samples traveling back and forth between Los Angeles and Paris for nearly a year.

The Sisley Paris Phyto-Rouge Shine 26 Sheer Bel Air retails for $67 and is available now online and in select stores.

Moncler teams up with Donald Glover for an Ojai-inspired collection

Luxury fashion brand Moncler has teamed up with Emmy-winning actor and Grammy-winning musician Donald Glover on a new Genius collection inspired by Gilga Farm, his creative hub and retreat located in Ojai, California.

Titled Moncler x Gilga Farm, the collection reinterprets Moncler’s alpine heritage through a Californian lens, blending the brand’s mountain wear DNA with Glover’s focus on functionality, comfort and everyday usefulness.

The collection includes quilted jackets, technical linen canvas, wool-cashmere knits, lightweight ripstop windbreakers and a standout burnt orange suede jacket. Other key pieces include oversized workwear-inspired layers, shorts, cotton tees and a convertible duvet jacket that transforms into a sleeping bag — a reference to Moncler’s original sleeping bag product. The pieces are designed to be wearable in transitional weather, balancing practicality with relaxed style.

Colorways are inspired by the Ojai Valley landscape and Gilga Farm’s surroundings, featuring washed pinks, creams, oranges and pale blues. Natural-feel fabrics are used throughout and orange fiber — a nod to Gilga’s citrus groves — is woven into select garments. The orange also appears as a recurring motif in logos and design accents.

Footwear includes a simplified version of the Moncler Trailgrip Vela sandal, made from cotton ribbon and leather and finished with a pale pink Vibram sole.

The collaboration also introduces playful design elements, including patches, comic strip graphics and a reimagined version of Moncler’s Monduck mascot, shown as a farmer character across the collection. Animated care labels — voiced by Glover — reference the Monduck tag found in his first Moncler jacket, blending personal storytelling with brand heritage.

“Functionality is key — it’s something that connects the world of Gilga and Moncler,” Glover said of the collaboration. “We both create for real-world usefulness.”

The campaign features a short animated film in which a cartoon version of Glover falls asleep at Gilga Farm and dreams of a Moncler alpine landscape, illustrating the merging of both worlds.

Moncler x Gilga Farm is available now at select Moncler locations and online at moncler.com.

A new book and exhibit explore Christian Dior’s floral inspiration

A new book titled “Dior Enchanting Gardens” explores the central role that nature, gardens and flowers have played in the creative universe of Christian Dior and the legacy of the house he founded.

Published by Rizzoli, the volume traces Dior’s lifelong fascination with the natural world, which began in his childhood home, Villa Les Rhumbs in Granville, and extended to other private residences including the Château de La Colle Noire in Montauroux and the Moulin du Coudret in Milly-la-Forêt. These locations and their gardens are presented chapter by chapter, offering insight into how they influenced both Dior’s personal life and creative output.

Flowers were a key inspiration for Dior from the start — notably in his 1947 New Look collection, which featured the Corolle line, and in the creation of Miss Dior, his first fragrance. The book connects these early inspirations to the work of Dior’s artistic successors, including Maria Grazia Chiuri, showing how floral motifs have remained a defining element of the brand’s aesthetic through decades of couture and fragrance design.

Alongside text contributions, the book features rare archival documents and photographs by leading fashion photographers such as Henry Clarke, Patrick Demarchelier, Brigitte Niedermair and Paolo Roversi. Garments are shown alongside Dior’s most iconic fragrances in a visual and historical survey that spans from the original femme-fleur silhouette to contemporary designs.

Dior Enchanting Gardens” includes a preface by Jean-Paul Claverie, an introduction by Brigitte Richart and essays by contributors including Philippe Deliau, Amy de La Haye, Vincent Leret, Barbara Jeauffroy-Mairet and Coline Zellal.

The book is a companion to the exhibition of the same name, running at the Musée Christian Dior in Granville, France through Nov. 2.

Regen Projects presents Kevin Beasley’s What delineates the edge
“Synth II” by Kevin Beasley (Source: Regen Projects)

Regen Projects presents Kevin Beasley’s “What delineates the edge”

Artist Kevin Beasley returns to Regen Projects this summer with “What delineates the edge,” his second solo exhibition at the gallery. Known for his sculptural work that fuses found materials with experimental processes, Beasley continues his exploration of memory, materiality and spatial form through a new series of wall-mounted slabs and freestanding sculptures.

The exhibition centers on the idea of thresholds — both literal and metaphorical — bringing together personal and cultural references. Using his signature cast resin technique, Beasley incorporates objects such as bedsheets, military uniforms, hats, carbon fiber, denim and shoes into sculptural screens that function like movable partitions. These works act as armatures for meaning, creating porous, layered boundaries that invite viewers to navigate the space through improvisation.

Also on view are Beasley’s “Synths” — large resin panels embedded with items like raw cotton, chipped pool cues, PPE components and T-shirts. The compositions reference both Beasley’s personal history growing up in Virginia and broader cultural narratives, with the materials sometimes clearly visible and other times obscured. The title, drawn from musical synthesizers, reflects the work’s aim to translate memory and emotion into visual form.

The show follows Beasley’s recent large-scale installation at Storm King Art Center and recent exhibitions at the Walker Art Center and the 15th Gwangju Biennale. His work is held in major public collections including the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Tate Modern in London and the Art Institute of Chicago.

“What delineates the edge” is on view at Regen Projects, 6750 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, California 90038, from July 2 to Aug. 16.

Reformation x StyledSara debut the Sara Linen Dress

Reformation, the cult-favorite Los Angeles label known for its effortlessly feminine silhouettes and commitment to sustainability, has launched a new collaboration with stylist and fashion consultant Sara Walker

The Sara Linen Dress is a ladylike midi crafted from 100% linen, complete with scalloped trim and buckle details that channel Walker’s deep archive of fashion references. “I designed a piece that feels effortless and flattering, but still packed with personality,” she said. “The scalloped trim was inspired by a 1960s fashion magazine I’ve kept for years, and the buckle details are a subtle wink to a ‘90s runway moment I’ve never forgotten.”

The dress will be available in three distinct colorways: Stampede, a chocolate brown zebra print; Nectarine, a coral-and-orange colorblock; and Parmesan, a soft yellow with crisp white accents.

To celebrate the launch, Walker hosted an intimate lunch at the Chateau Marmont earlier this month. Guests including Tezza, Angela Fink, Gab Waller and Liv Perez all wore the new design, styled their own way — a fitting tribute to Reformation’s blend of timeless appeal and individual expression.

This collaboration follows a string of successful partnerships for the brand, which has previously teamed up with fashion and culture tastemakers like Kacey Musgraves, Devon Lee Carlson and Laura Harrier.

Priced at $278 USD, it’s available now online and in Reformation stores nationwide—each boutique carrying one exclusive colorway.

A$AP Rocky x Ray-Ban unveil the Wayfarer Puffer

A$AP Rocky has teamed up with Ray-Ban to debut the Wayfarer Puffer, a bold new take on the brand’s most iconic silhouette. Designed under his new role as creative director, Puffer is the latest addition to the A$AP Rocky x Ray-Ban collection.

The frame is defined by its inflated, sculptural shape—pushing the boundaries of classic eyewear design, while the campaign, shot in Harlem, features local artists and friends from the neighborhood where he grew up.

The Wayfarer Puffer first appeared on the red carpet at the 2025 Met Gala, where Rocky wore a one-of-a-kind version customized with 18K gold logos, natural diamonds and gemstone-set rivets. He later introduced additional colorways—including green, red, yellow, white and pink—at a private event in Cannes.

The Wayfarer Puffer is now available on Ray-Ban.com, in Ray-Ban stores, and at select EssilorLuxottica retailers including Sunglass Hut.

FIFA 1904, the new ready-to-wear brand from the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), marked its official launch and the first FIFA Club World Cup in the U.S. with an intimate dinner at Mr. Chow last Monday.

The evening brought together guests including co-founders Julie Anne Quay and Leonardo Lawson, alongside FIFA ambassadors, fashion figures and cultural tastemakers. Attendees included Alessandra Ambrosio, Alton Mason, Tiffany Haddish, Matt Bomer, Javier Pastore, Maarten Paes and Bafétimbi Gomis. Music for the event was provided by The Misshapes.

The collection includes t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants and hats, designed with premium textures, minimal graphics and a focus on fit and function.

Founded by Quay (VFILES founder and minority owner of Barnsley F.C.) and Lawson (former Yeezy Gap President), FIFA 1904 represents FIFA’s first official ready-to-wear venture. Named for the year FIFA was founded on Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, the brand merges global football heritage with modern design principles.

Eleventy Milano opens at South Coast Plaza

Italian luxury brand Eleventy Milano has unveiled its latest boutique at South Coast Plaza.

Conceived by Milan-based firm Parisotto + Formenton Architetti, the new space embodies Eleventy’s signature aesthetic: refined yet approachable, modern yet rooted in tradition. Anna Wintour’s Vogue Run Built a New Model for Legacy Media in the Digital Age | Commentary https://www.thewrap.com/anna-wintour-ends-vogue-editor-in-chief-analysis-wrapstyle/ Mon, 30 Jun 2025 21:57:03 +0000 https://www.thewrap.com/?p=7789086 WrapStyle: The fashion icon’s exit as the brand’s final editor-in-chief says goodbye to an era where a singular visionary defined a magazine’s voice

The post Anna Wintour’s Vogue Run Built a New Model for Legacy Media in the Digital Age | Commentary appeared first on TheWrap.

]]>
After 37 years as editor-in-chief of American Vogue, Anna Wintour announced last week that she is stepping back from the role — just one year shy of the record set by Edna Woolman Chase, who held the title from 1914 to 1952.

For most American readers, Wintour is synonymous with the magazine. And with her departure, she becomes the last Vogue editor-in-chief worldwide, as the title is officially retired across all editions. This marks more than a staffing change — it closes a foundational chapter in Condé Nast’s history.

Despite all the noise, Wintour — now 75 — remains Vogue’s global editorial director and Condé Nast’s chief content officer, extending her influence across continents, platforms and mediums. The decision to retire the editor-in-chief title is likely part of a broader global restructuring Condé Nast began in 2021, reflecting both a strategic unification of editorial voices and a response to economic pressures facing legacy media — pressures fueled by the upending of traditional publishing over the past two decades due to the rise of bloggers, influencers and social platforms that democratized taste and disrupted authority.

Still, there’s no denying that something profound is ending. The era of the singular visionary who alone defines a magazine’s voice is giving way to a new model — though that perception, shaped in part by pop culture portrayals like “The Devil Wears Prada,” wasn’t strictly accurate to begin with. While Wintour was the final word, as editor-in-chief she worked closely with a dedicated, talented team who helped shape Vogue’s editorial vision. Many of these staffers were mentored by her and have gone on to lead and influence the broader fashion media landscape.

Sara Moonves began her career at Vogue before leaving to become a contributing fashion editor at W, where she now serves as editor-in-chief and helped guide the magazine through its buyout from Condé Nast. Eva Chen moved from Teen Vogue to Instagram, where she is now director of fashion partnerships. Samira Nasr started as a market assistant at Vogue, later became executive fashion director at Vanity Fair and is now editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar. Most recently, Mark Guiducci, who held senior roles at Vogue, was appointed editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair. As Wintour told staff last week: “I find that my greatest pleasure is helping the next generation of impassioned editors storm the field with their own ideas.”

Wintour also championed the designers and photographers who helped define Vogue’s aesthetic. She spotted Marc Jacobs early on, even helping him secure prestigious venues when finances were tight. She was an unwavering supporter of Alexander McQueen and continued to back John Galliano through his career’s more turbulent chapters. In 2006, she encouraged Brooks Brothers to take a chance on the then-unknown Thom Browne, helping launch his rise to prominence. Meanwhile her partnerships with photographers such as Peter Lindbergh, Annie Leibovitz, Steven Meisel, David Sims and Craig McDean have all been instrumental in shaping Vogue’s visual language.

“If you’re in a creative field, you know how essential it is never to stop growing in your work,” she shared with the Vogue team. “When I became the editor of Vogue, I was eager to prove to all who might listen that there was a new, exciting way to imagine an American fashion magazine.”

And she delivered on that vision. From transforming the Met Gala into fashion’s most-watched event — an evolution captured in the acclaimed 2016 documentary “The First Monday in May” — to blending celebrity culture with high fashion, Wintour didn’t just edit Vogue, she turned it into a cultural barometer.

She advocated for emerging designers before it was mainstream, made street style front row-worthy and elevated red carpets into editorial campaigns. With initiatives like the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and Fashion’s Night Out, she provided crucial business support to rising talent and helped energize the retail economy.

Wintour also led Vogue’s seamless transition online — something many legacy brands struggled with. Her clear vision for digital, social and video content transformed Vogue into a multi-platform brand. The new Vogue app brings the brand even closer to how people consume content today. It’s now the go-to hub for all of Vogue’s digital offerings — from runway shows and seamless shopping experiences to behind-the-scenes posts from editors and contributors, making it feel more like a social feed than a traditional magazine platform.

Another savvy innovation was the creation of the Vogue 100 Club, an exclusive membership program that offers the brand’s most devoted followers access to Vogue’s inner circle while also establishing a new, high-end revenue stream. Wintour also launched Vogue World, a roving live event that blends runway shows with immersive performances and city-specific cultural storytelling. It debuted in New York in 2022, expanded to London and Paris, and this October, will take place in Los Angeles on the Paramount Pictures lot. Under her leadership, Vogue has become more accessible and reflective of the world today.

“On a practical level, many of my responsibilities will remain the same,” she noted in her formal announcement. “Including paying very close attention to the fashion industry and the creative cultural force that is our extraordinary Met Ball … and charting the course of future Vogue Worlds or any other original fearless ideas we may come up with. And it goes without saying that I plan to remain Vogue’s tennis and theater editor in perpetuity.”

So, while the editor-in-chief title may be retiring, Anna Wintour is certainly not.

La DoubleJ and (RED) debut the Coupe Rose Capsule Collection

Luxury Milanese fashion house La DoubleJ has partnered with global nonprofit (RED) — co-founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver — to launch a limited-edition capsule collection, with all profits supporting (RED)’s life-saving programs.

The Coupe Rose capsule collection features a trio of signature La DoubleJ pieces: the bestselling Better Than Your Boyfriend’s Shirt in shimmering fil coupé, coordinating Pull-Up Shorts and a silk Mini Foulard, all crafted in 100% Italian silk.

As with all La DoubleJ collections, the pieces are designed by women, for women and produced entirely in Italy. This time, however, 100% of profits will be donated directly to (RED), funding life-saving HIV and health programs where they are needed most.

La DoubleJ founder and CEO J.J. Martin, a California native who built her bold, joy-fueled brand from Milan, described the partnership as “a perfect expression of our mission: to make joyful, fabulous clothes that not only elevate the wearer but also uplift the world.”

Shot in a vibrant, global campaign, the collaboration is supported by a powerful roster of La DoubleJ friends and (RED) supporters including Iman, Lake Bell, Busy Philipps and Noma Dumezweni. The images celebrate the expressive, spirited energy of the brand while reinforcing the urgency of (RED)’s mission.

The partnership comes at a time of renewed urgency in the fight against AIDS. Despite decades of progress, recent funding withdrawals — compounded by gender inequality, marginalization and gender-based violence — have put women and girls at greater risk. Today, they account for 44% of all new HIV infections globally — a figure this collaboration aims to help reverse.

The Coupe Rose capsule is available now at ladoublej.com.

The Getty Villa reopens with a monumental exhibition on Mycenaean Greece

After a temporary closure following the Palisades Fire, the Getty Villa Museum reopens this summer with a sweeping, once-in-a-generation exhibition: “The Kingdom of Pylos: Warrior-Princes of Ancient Greece,” the first major North American presentation devoted to the Mycenaean civilization.

The landmark exhibition brings together more than 230 rare objects, most of them traveling from Greece for the first time. Organized in collaboration with the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, the exhibition explores the rise of Pylos, a Bronze Age kingdom ruled by warrior-princes and home to one of the antiquity’s most extraordinary palatial complexes — famously attributed to the Homeric hero, King Nestor.

Presented in four immersive sections, the show opens with a spotlight on the Palace of Nestor, the best-preserved Mycenaean palace discovered on the Greek mainland. Among its most astonishing finds: clay tablets inscribed in Linear B, the earliest known form of written Greek. The famed Tripod Tablet, included in the exhibition, was key in the eventual decipherment of this ancient script — an act that transformed the understanding of Pre-Classical Greece.

A highlight of the second gallery is the recent and breathtaking discovery of the Griffin Warrior Tomb, hailed as one of the most significant archaeological finds in Greece in decades. Unearthed in 2015 by University of Cincinnati archaeologists near the palace site, the undisturbed shaft grave yielded an astonishing trove of goods, including the Pylos Combat Agate — a miniature masterpiece depicting a warrior in mid-battle, rendered in impossibly fine detail.

Other showstoppers include Mycenaean sealstones, ceremonial daggers inlaid with silver and gold and a remarkable boar’s-tusk helmet — an object long thought to exist only in Homeric poetry.

“’The Kingdom of Pylos’ is a revelation,” Timothy Potts, director of the Getty Museum, said. “It offers visitors a rare opportunity to encounter the earliest Greek-speaking culture — one that gave rise to the myths, poetry and artistic traditions that still shape our world today.”

Curated by Claire Lyons with contributions from leading Greek and American archaeologists, the exhibition is accompanied by a full slate of public programming, from lectures and curator talks to a sensory workshop recreating a 3,000-year-old Mycenaean perfume.

“The Kingdom of Pylos: Warrior-Princes of Ancient Greece” opens on Friday. Admission to the Getty Villa is always free, but reservations are required for admission.

Brad Pitt’s God’s True Cashmere brand unveils a new linen collection

Sat Hari and Brad Pitt, co-founders of God’s True Cashmere, are ushering in a new chapter for the brand with the debut of God’s True Linen. Launching as part of the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, The Elysian Collection marks the brand’s first foray into linen — infused, as always, with its signature focus on wellness, luxury and intentional design.

Crafted from 100% natural linen, the collection draws on the fabric’s inherent breathability, anti-inflammatory properties and stress-reducing energy. The gender-neutral collection is offered in a soft, calming palette — think creams, sky blues and sunshine yellow, with a deep green look included in tribute to the dream that sparked the brand’s founding. A vibrant racer stripe brings a playful, crafted edge to select designs.

“Linen seems like the obvious progression of the brand,” Pitt said. “This collection is vibrant, exciting and introduces a fresh dimension to what we are doing.”

Founded in 2019 by Pitt and energy healer Sat Hari, God’s True Cashmere launched with luxurious 100% cashmere shirts made in Italy. Each garment features buttons crafted from healing stones, thoughtfully placed to align with the wearer’s chakras, merging wellness and style in a truly unique expression of luxury that is designed with sustainability in mind.

Tiffany & Co. celebrates the new HardWear collection with artist Anna Weyant

Earlier this month, Tiffany & Co. hosted an intimate dinner on the rooftop terrace of its Fifth Avenue Landmark store in New York City, in celebration of its latest Tiffany HardWear campaign featuring contemporary painter Anna Weyant.

Guests, including campaign star Weyant, Phoebe Gates, Laura Harrier, Georgia Fowler and Karen Elson, were immersed in the spirit of the Tiffany HardWear Collection — celebrating love’s transformative strength and enduring resilience.

The event featured a bespoke Ruinart Blanc de Blancs created exclusively for Tiffany & Co., a custom-designed tablescape and a menu crafted by renowned chef Daniel Boulud. Music curated by Ruby Aldridge, who also joined the celebration, set the perfect tone for the night inspired by the city’s architecture and energy.

First introduced in 2017 and now reimagined through a contemporary lens, the Tiffany HardWear Collection is rooted in a 1962 archival design and inspired by the industrial energy of the city itself.

The new collection plays with tension and proportion—most notably through gauge link bracelets, wrap necklaces and pavé diamond-adorned silhouettes—balancing utility and elegance.

Balenciaga and Britney Spears debut a surprise collaboration

Balenciaga’s latest music series is turning the spotlight on Britney Spears — an artist who not only redefined pop but also shaped its visual language. The Balenciaga Music | Britney Spears series marks her first collaboration to bridge fashion and music and was unveiled as part of Balenciaga by Demna “Exactitudes.”

The Spears capsule features limited-edition ready-to-wear and accessories including T-shirts, zip-up hoodies, silk twill flags and pierced-brim caps. Each piece features a Britney Spears autograph motif and archival imagery by Rankin and Steven Klein. Aged finishes and handwritten-style graphics give the collection the texture of vintage, fan-worn memorabilia.

“I have always loved fashion and was so honored and excited Balenciaga and Demna chose to collaborate with me on Demna’s last collection with the House,” Spears said. “These are some of my favorite images from such an amazing time in my career and life, and I’m so excited to share it with everyone.”

The launch is accompanied by a Balenciaga Music playlist curated by Spears, featuring music from her personal archive as well as tracks that have inspired her. The playlist is available through a dedicated Music Hub on balenciaga.com, with streaming links for Apple Music and Spotify.

Also releasing is the “Britney4ever” EP by BFRND, featuring official remixes of “Gimme More” — first heard during the Summer 25 show — and “Oops! … I Did It Again,” marking the song’s 25th anniversary. The EP is released under Sony Music and available via BFRND’s artist page on Spotify and Apple Music.

BFRND, the French composer behind Balenciaga’s sound since 2017, has created original scores for every presentation under Demna. “Britney is a trailblazer,” he said. “Reworking her legacy is a great honor.”

After a decade at Balenciaga, Demna will depart the House later this summer to join Gucci as artistic director. His final collection, Balenciaga by Demna “Exactitudes,” brought together garments from 35 past seasons, new designs and pieces from his own wardrobe. “This is my love letter to the most loyal and fashion-forward audience we’ve built around the House,” he writes. “It is the end of a wonderful era that I wanted to capture and celebrate.”

The collection is available now at select Balenciaga stores worldwide and at balenciaga.com.

American Contemporary Ballet debuts ‘The Euterpides’

American Contemporary Ballet (ACB) is debuting “The Euterpides,” a new ballet created by ACB Director Lincoln Jones and young composing prodigy Alma Deutscher. Inspired by a reinvented myth of the Greek Muse of Music, Euterpe, and her daughters’ musical delights, the ballet promises a fresh fusion of myth and melody.

Deutscher, hailed as “a new Mozart” by The New York Times and praised by Zubin Mehta as “one of the greatest musical talents of today,” began composing astonishing works at an early age: her first piano sonata at five, violin concerto at nine and full opera at 10. Now 20 and commissioned by ACB, she has composed her first ballet score.

“When I’m not composing, you’ll find me dancing; it’s my other great passion, so I was over the moon when American Contemporary Ballet asked me to write a short ballet for them to premiere in June,” Deutscher said. “This project is so special because the story itself is about music.”

Deutscher will conduct the first two performances of “The Euterpides” in person, traveling from Vienna. She will also conduct the musical interlude: the overture to her full-length opera “Cinderella,” which premiered in Vienna under the patronage of Mehta when she was just 11.

Jones provided Deutscher with an original libretto to bring to life through music. He describes their collaboration as reminiscent of the classical ballet-making process of legends like George Balanchine and Igor Stravinsky — only now with modern tools like video chats and emails. “Alma not only has the rare gift of creating beautiful melodies that stay with you, but the even rarer ability to write great dance music,” he said.

“The Euterpides” will be presented alongside Balanchine’s “Serenade,” often regarded as his first American masterpiece. Praised for its emotional clarity and choreographic brilliance, “Serenade” offers a breathtaking interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s luminous score, performed live by a full string orchestra.

The performances will be held on at Television City, 200 N Fairfax Ave., Stage 33, Los Angeles, 90036. Tickets are available here.

Urban Jürgensen celebrates its relaunch with a star-studded party

Earlier this month, Urban Jürgensen marked its historic relaunch with “Skål and Fejre – Urban Jürgensen: The Next Generation,” a one-night-only June 5 celebration at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

Known as one of the world’s oldest independent watchmakers, with a 250-year heritage of crafting exquisite, handcrafted timepieces, Urban Jürgensen is celebrated for its blend of traditional artistry and modern innovation. The event brought together collectors, press, tastemakers and creatives to honor the revival of the brand, now led by co-CEOs Kari Voutilainen and Alex Rosenfield.

Set against the industrial backdrop of the airplane hangar, the space was transformed with a design inspired by the intricate mechanics and elegant aesthetics of Urban Jürgensen timepieces — a striking homage to the brand’s Danish roots and modern evolution. The evening also unveiled the brand’s first new collection in over a decade, featuring three new watches: the UJ-1 Anniversary Watch, the UJ-2 with double-wheel natural escapement and the UJ-3 perpetual calendar with instantaneous moon phase indication.

“We grew up with Gap, so the opportunity to collaborate and bridge golf culture with Gap’s heritage is incredibly exciting,” Erica and Stephen said. “Gap defines what an American brand can look like — it’s where fashion and functionality collide — so we are thrilled that each and every piece reflects, authentically, the DNA of both brands.”

The Generation Golf campaign, shot by photographer Duncan Wolfe, captures contemporary golf culture and its cross-generational appeal. The campaign features golf legend and five-time PGA Tour winner Jesper Parnevik alongside his children, Peg and Phoenix Parnevik.

The 33-piece collection offers a wide range of golf-inspired silhouettes for men and women, combining classic style with modern design and performance features. A custom PAR logo — a playful reinterpretation of Gap’s iconic arch — appears on fleece, knits and accessories. Meanwhile, timeless stripes, plaid and herringbone patterns add a heritage touch throughout the assortment.

The Gap × Malbon collection is available now at gap.com and select U.S. Gap stores.

James Perse brings California cool to the iconic Indie Beach in Saint-Tropez

For Angelenos traveling to the French Riviera this summer, a taste of home awaits. James Perse, the Los Angeles–based fashion and lifestyle brand, is taking over Indie Beach in Saint-Tropez through mid-September.

Following last year’s Jacquemus takeover of the iconic Pampelonne hotspot, the James Perse residency will fuse the brand’s relaxed sophistication with Indie Beach’s vibrant Mediterranean spirit, creating a seamless blend of West Coast ease and Côte d’Azur charm.

Guests will discover a full sensory experience — from a pop-up James Perse shop to custom staff uniforms — all reflecting the brand’s signature natural materials and understated luxury. Nestled among the dunes of Pampelonne, Indie Beach’s driftwood, wicker and bamboo decor perfectly complements James Perse’s ethos of authentic, elevated beach living.

Founded by Vincent Luftman, Tobias Chaix and Raphaël Blanc, Indie Group has redefined hospitality in Saint-Tropez with its free-spirited venues focused on conviviality, authenticity and sun-drenched pleasures. This collaboration brings together two brands that share a deep connection to coastal culture, quality craftsmanship and timeless design.

Perse, known for expanding his minimalist aesthetic beyond fashion into lifestyle and hospitality, sees this partnership as a natural extension of his West Coast vision. “I visited Indie Beach last year and was really drawn to its vibe and energy. Tobias and his team capture the unique beauty of Ramatuelle while blending it seamlessly with the charm and relaxed sophistication of Saint-Tropez,” he said.

Chaix added, “James Perse’s unique take on laid-back luxury aligns perfectly with Indie Beach’s philosophy. We’re excited to showcase this shared spirit and bring a fresh, elevated experience to our community this summer.”

Highlighting the collaboration is a limited-edition capsule collection available exclusively at the Indie Beach shop, featuring James Perse essentials reimagined for the Côte d’Azur, alongside custom-designed surfboards made just for the beach club.

Thom Browne opens a West Coast flagship on Melrose Place

Thom Browne has officially arrived in Los Angeles, bringing his signature uniform aesthetic to Melrose Place.

The new boutique is tucked behind a pristine ivy-covered façade and reflects Browne’s deep affinity for mid-century modern design. Inside, the 2,000-square-foot space is divided into three rooms, featuring sleek gray marble walls, terrazzo flooring, Venetian blinds and curated furnishings by Jacques Adnet, George Nakashima, Dunbar and Edward Wormley — all personally selected by Browne.

Thom Browne founded his eponymous label in 2001, starting with a made-to-measure menswear business in a small, “by appointment” shop in New York City’s West Village. Since then, the brand has grown into a global luxury fashion house, offering ready-to-wear, accessories and fragrance collections for men, women and children. Browne debuted his womenswear collection in 2014.

A three-time CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Award winner, Browne was named Chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in 2023, succeeding Tom Ford. His work is celebrated for challenging conventions and modernizing the uniform through precise tailoring and conceptual storytelling.

To mark the opening, Browne hosted a two-night celebration in Los Angeles. The festivities began with an intimate cocktail party last Wednesday at the new Melrose Place boutique, where guests including Jordan Firstman, Rocky Barnes, Del Water Gap, Courtney Trop and Ava Capri gathered to toast the arrival of Browne’s West Coast flagship over champagne and mini lobster rolls.

The following night, the party continued with a private dinner in the penthouse of the Chateau Marmont. Browne welcomed an eclectic mix of creatives, including Teyana Taylor, filmmaker Janicza Bravo, Leighton Meester, Ke Huy Quan, Yara Shahidi, Barry Jenkins, China Chow, Alex Israel and Manny Jacinto, for an evening that reflected the brand’s distinctive mix of refinement, storytelling and community.

Thom Browne is now open at 8408 Melrose Pl., Los Angeles, California 90069.

Jimmy Choo unveils a limited edition collection of its most iconic styles

British luxury fashion house Jimmy Choo has launched “The Archive: 1997–2001,” a limited-edition capsule collection revisiting the brand’s formative years.

Featuring a curated selection of its most iconic styles from the first five years, the release pays tribute to the house’s early design codes: timeless glamour, sharp femininity and impeccable craftsmanship. Presented in the brand’s original “Winter Bloom” packaging, these reissued pieces feel just as modern and relevant as they did at the turn of the millennium.

To celebrate the launch, the brand hosted an intimate cocktail event last month at the Chateau Marmont. Held inside Bungalow 1, the evening honored the brand’s original DNA with a curated edit of archival styles, paired with ready-to-wear looks from Aralda Vintage that brought late-’90s and early-aughts glamour back to life.

Guests including Rachel Zoe, Shanina Shaik, Olivia Holt, Sami Miro, Aimee Song, Dree Hemingway, Morgan Stewart McGraw, Tania Sarin and Marianne Fonseca mingled over cosmos and lounged by the pool as golden hour hit the Chateau. Inside, vintage silhouettes met archival shoes in layered, era-specific styling moments.

The capsule collection, which coincides with the lead-up to Jimmy Choo’s 30th anniversary, revisits the first five years of the brand — what creative director Sandra Choi calls “the heart and soul” of the house. “In looking at these styles, I saw ideas that are still essential to Jimmy Choo today — eternal values of glamour and femininity, combined with make and craft,” Choi said. “This collection is about where we’ve come from, and where we continue to go.”

Founded in London in 1996, Jimmy Choo quickly became the ultimate “It girl” shoe brand, beloved by fashion insiders and royalty alike — including Princess Diana. Its cult status was cemented in pop culture thanks to “Sex and the City,” where Carrie Bradshaw’s unforgettable “I lost my Choo!” moment made the name synonymous with glamour and downtown cool.

“The Archive: 1997–2001” capsule collection is available now at us.jimmychoo.com.

Elysewalker will reopen its flagship in the Pacific Palisades at Palisades Village

Independent California-based luxury fashion retailer Elysewalker has announced plans to reopen its West Coast flagship store in the Pacific Palisades, returning to its roots with a brand-new location at the Palisades Village. Slated to open in Spring/Summer 2026, the move marks a powerful comeback after the original 25-year-old flagship was lost in the devastating Palisades Fire in January.

The announcement marks the first flagship tenant for Palisades Village and reinforces a longstanding partnership between founder Elyse Walker and developer Rick Caruso. In a full-circle moment, Walker’s decision to return to the Palisades reflects the same pioneering spirit she had in 1999 when she opened her first store in the neighborhood.

“Reopening in the Palisades and moving to the Village is incredibly exciting and important as we focus our efforts on rebuilding and supporting this incredibly strong and resilient community,” Walker said. “We fully intend to recreate the Elysewalker experience and can’t wait to be back where it all began.”

The new 5,000-square-foot space will be located at the prominent corner of Sunset Boulevard and Swarthmore Avenue—offering a signature mix of luxury designers and emerging brands, and a best-in-class styling experience that has made Elysewalker a standout in modern retail.

Known for blending personalized service with a fashion-forward, curated assortment, the new store will continue to serve as a hub for both local clients and destination shoppers.

The reopening in the Pacific Palisades follows a 25-year legacy that began with a 900-square-foot boutique and grew to define luxury retail in California. Elysewalker’s footprint now includes five stores and one Towne by Elysewalker location across California and New York, as well as its digital flagship, elysewalker.com.

The MOCA Gala 2025, in partnership with Bvlgari, raises over $3.1 million

Over 600 attendees gathered at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in Little Tokyo last weekend to celebrate MOCA’s 2025 Gala and raise more than $3.1 million in support of the museum’s exhibitions, programming and operations.

The event, held in partnership with Bvlgari, debuted the new MOCA Legends format with tributes to three visionary figures integral to the museum’s legacy: artist Theaster Gates, architect Frank Gehry and philanthropist Wendy Schmidt.

Mayor Karen Bass, Barbara Kruger, Ann Philbin, Ron Radziner, Candy Spelling, Jeffrey Soros, Doug Aitken, Walead Beshty and Louise Bonnet were welcomed with a cocktail reception and exclusive viewing of the acclaimed exhibition “Olafur Eliasson: OPEN” at the Aileen Getty Plaza. The ceremony commenced with a powerful procession led by the TAIKOPROJECT Japanese drum ensemble, setting a vibrant tone for the evening.

Grammy-nominated artist Tierra Whack delivered a performance during the seated dinner, following tributes to the honorees introduced by luminaries such as filmmaker Ava DuVernay, who highlighted Theaster Gates’s contributions to visual art and community building; actor and activist Jane Fonda, who honored Wendy Schmidt’s commitment to environmental philanthropy; and Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, who praised Frank Gehry’s architectural legacy — including his renovation of The Geffen Contemporary over four decades ago. DJ Linafornia capped off the night with a lively set during dessert.

The Gala not only celebrated the cultural and philanthropic contributions of the honorees but also underscored MOCA’s mission as a defining institution of contemporary art since its founding in 1979. With a world-class collection nearing 8,000 objects and a global reputation for groundbreaking exhibitions and innovative programming, MOCA continues to engage communities through education, publications and cutting-edge media.

Bvlgari’s partnership reflected its longstanding commitment to social and environmental responsibility, aligning with MOCA’s vision for a sustainable and creative future

Net-A-Porter and Isabel Marant host an intimate sunset dinner in Silver Lake

To celebrate the launch of an exclusive 19-piece High Summer ’25 capsule, digital luxury fashion destination Net-A-Porter and French fashion label Isabel Marant gathered friends of the brand for a private dinner at the architecturally iconic Schindler’s Oliver House in Silver Lake last month.

Hosted by designer Isabel Marant, Net-A-Porter CEO Heather Kaminetsky and longtime brand muse Milla Jovovich, the evening was a tribute to effortless summer style and creative community.

Guests arrived at golden hour dressed in bohemian silk prints, breezy linens and fluid silhouettes pulled from the new capsule. The guest list included Rachel Bilson, January Jones, Alison Brie, Lily Rabe and Madeline Brewer, as well as designer Aurora James, model Hilary Rhoda and brand ambassador Dree Hemingway.

Backed by guitarist Henry Moser, Luella performed two covers and her debut single “Naive,” accompanied by original choreography from Shi Jolie, featuring dancers Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki.

Dinner concluded with a show-stopping silver tray of tiramisu, emblazoned with the Isabel Marant and Net-A-Porter logos — a sweet finale to an unforgettable evening.

The 78th Tony Awards set Radio City Music Hall ablaze with triple-threat talent on Sunday, as host Cynthia Erivo, nominees like George Clooney, Sadie Sink and Nicole Scherzinger, and current Broadway star Jean Smart hit the red carpet in style.

The Tonys ceremony aired live on CBS from 8 to 11 p.m. ET, with streaming available via Paramount+. Erivo emceed and started with a fun number poking fun at all the TV and film folks in Broadway shows this season, with an especially fun joke about “Just in Time” star Jonathan Groff’s projectile spittle reputation.

Going into the ceremony, three musicals — two based upon popular movies — emerged supreme amongst Tony nominators in 2025, banking an impressive 10 nods last month.

The tuners “Buena Vista Social Club,” based on Wim Wenders’ 1999 documentary and the even more popular album, the outlandish comedy “Death Becomes Her,” based on Robert Zemeckis’ 1992 cult classic, and the sweet robot romance “Maybe Happy Ending,” starring Darren Criss, all scored big.

Among plays, the top nomination-getters were the Sink-starring “John Proctor Is the Villain” and the long-closed but superbly-reviewed “The Hills of California,” directed by Sam Mendes. Both productions received seven nods.

Miu Miu taps Catherine Martin for its newest Upcycled collection

Miu Miu has collaborated with four-time Oscar winner Catherine Martin on its newest Upcycled collection. Alongside the collection of reimagined pre-loved garments, Martin makes her directorial debut with the short film “Grande Envie,” a ghost story set in a 1930s French chateau.

Inspired by the photographs of Jacques Henri Lartigue and the artistic energy of the interwar French Riviera, “Grande Envie” is a lush ghost story-meets-style odyssey. It follows a widowed Count (played by Willem Dafoe) haunted by the memory of his late wife (Daisy Ridley), while three enigmatic strangers arrive, full of summer longing. The cast includes Callina Liang, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Diana Silvers and Eliot Sumner — all wearing pieces from the collaboration — with campaign photography by Michella Bredahl.

“The collection draws together things that don’t necessarily belong together,” Martin explained. “There are clashes of the pretty and the vulgar but brought together beautifully, just like in the 1920s and 1930s.”

For Martin, Miu Miu Upcycled embodies the ethos of transforming the meaning of a garment by using it in completely new ways. “Like the Countess in my film, it’s about the past haunting the present,” she reflected. “Miu Miu Upcycled gives new life to old clothes, transforming them into the ultimate luxury — where love and attention make something more precious than before.”

Launched in 2020, Miu Miu Upcycled is a series of special collections of vintage pieces reworked and transformed by Miu Miu, carefully sourced from stores and markets focused on vintage clothing worldwide, created to promote circular design practices.

The project began with vintage dresses, reinterpreted through Miu Miu’s aesthetic codes. Inspired by circular business models, it fosters a contemporary cultural attitude by giving new life to pre-owned and pre-loved clothes.

To celebrate the launch, Miu Miu hosted an exclusive lunch at Hôtel Belles Rives in Antibes during the 78th Cannes Film Festival. Martin was joined by the cast of “Grande Envie” and an international gathering of guests, including Dianna Agron, Ellie Bamber, Emma Corrin, Aja Naomi King, Brigitte Lacombe, Iris Law, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Barbara Palvin.

The collection and “Grande Envie” launch globally on June 21.

The night unfolded across a multi-room venue with social media-ready installations and three live performances. Guests explored a sensorial Don Julio tequila tasting room, sampled sandwiches from local favorite Ggiata Delicatessen and danced to DJ sets by Channel Tres and Mau P.

Attendees left with bottles of the latest addition to the brand’s viral men’s fragrance line, which features notes of spicy chestnut and warm leathered vanilla.

Stronger With You Parfum is available now at giorgioarmanibeauty-usa.com, retailing for $130.

Hannah Lee makes her West Coast debut at James Fuentes

James Fuentes will present “Hannah Lee: Dumbo’s Feather,” marking the New York-based artist’s West Coast debut and her first solo exhibition with the gallery. The show features a new series of oil paintings created in 2025, capturing dreamlike moments suspended in time with striking realism.

In paintings like “Rainy Night” and “Passing Time,” Lee transforms the ordinary into deeply resonant portraits of human experience. Her process blends technical precision with abstraction: working from her own photographs, she grids each canvas and paints piece by piece, creating images that feel more like memory than snapshot. Legally blind, Lee uses this method to expand her visual field, turning limitation into expressive advantage, giving her work a unique photographic-memory quality.

Themes of technology, perception and transience run throughout the exhibition. Works like “Mauna Kea” and “Chrome Jacket” evoke the sublime, depicting quiet figures observing sunlight across shadowed landscapes. Each painting acts as a portal within a larger perceptual grid exploring time, space and consciousness.

Born in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1989, Lee earned her BFA from Parsons School of Design in 2012. She has held solo exhibitions in New York and Manila and participated in group shows in New York and Los Angeles. “Dumbo’s Feather” is her first solo exhibition in Los Angeles. She currently lives and works in New York.

“Hannah Lee: Dumbo’s Feather” will be on view at James Fuentes, 5015 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, from June 7–July 5, 2025, with an opening reception on June 7, 6–8 p.m.

Frēda Salvador opens in Larchmont Village

Sausalito-based footwear brand Freda Salvador has officially opened its doors in Los Angeles, debuting a new boutique in Larchmont Village last month.

Located in a historic 1923 building, the 970-square-foot store was designed in collaboration with Morgan Wallach (formerly of Amber Interiors). The space blends original architectural elements — like poured concrete floors with embossed tile inlay, ornate crown molding and high ceilings — with curated vintage art, ceramics and modern furnishings, creating the warm, lived-in feel of a stylish home.

This marks the third retail location, following its flagship on San Francisco’s Fillmore Street and a recent opening in New York’s SoHo neighborhood. Known for its commitment to craftsmanship, comfort and timeless design, the brand has attracted a loyal following that includes Jennifer Lawrence, Gal Gadot, Elle Fanning, Katie Holmes, Karlie Kloss and Jessica Alba.

“We wanted this space to feel intimate and inspiring — like visiting a friend’s impeccably styled home,” co-founders Cristina Palomo Nelson and Megan Papay said. “Every detail is intentional, from the materials to the textures, to create something truly personal and inviting.”

Founded in California, Frēda Salvador is known for elevated, handcrafted footwear. The brand’s signature silhouettes — like sleek loafers, versatile boots and minimalist sneakers—are made in small, family-run factories in Spain and El Salvador.

Frēda Salvador is open now at 115 N Larchmont Blvd., Los Angeles, 90004.

Sea Ranch Lodge debuts four new architectural rental homes

This summer, The Sea Ranch Lodge — the landmark destination along Northern California’s rugged Sonoma County coastline — is adding four architecturally distinct homes to its curated Sea Ranch Living rental program, expanding the collection to 12 design-forward residences.

Located on 53 acres of dramatic oceanfront cliffs, The Sea Ranch Lodge offers travelers a chance to “live like a local” in some of the region’s most iconic homes. New to the mix are Shanti House, Third Rock, Cedar + Skye and Compass Close — each offering immersive, sustainable stays that blend design, comfort and coastal serenity.

Each home offers a unique blend of style and setting: Shanti House features serene Japandi interiors and oceanfront views with a cedar hot tub; Third Rock, designed by Obie Bowman, pairs mid-century charm with artwork by Robert Rauschenberg and Edward Ruscha; Cedar + Skye is a modern forest loft with soaring glass walls overlooking coastal redwoods; and Compass Close combines forest seclusion, whitewater views, solar power and a striking Barbara Stauffacher Solomon mural.

All stays include concierge services, curated grocery pre-stocking, spa treatments, chef-prepared meals and thoughtful in-home touches — from sketching kits and trail maps to binoculars and locally made bath products.

To complement the expansion, the Lodge is also introducing Sustainable Living at Sea Ranch, a customizable, three-night add-on package that lets guests engage with the local environment through farm-fresh breakfasts, in-home spa treatments, curated workshops, and parting gifts like mushroom-scented candles and apple cider caramels from nearby producers.

“Our goal is to offer guests not just a place to stay, but a way to fully experience Sea Ranch living—from the architecture and the food to the land itself,” Kristina Jetton, general manager of The Sea Ranch Lodge, said.

Set along 10 miles of rugged Northern California coastline in Sonoma County, Sea Ranch is a visionary community founded in the 1960s that celebrates sustainable living, stunning natural landscapes and groundbreaking architecture. Designed by a renowned group of architects and planners — including Charles Moore, Donlyn Lyndon, William Turnbull, Richard Whitaker and landscape architect Lawrence Halprin — Sea Ranch pioneered a harmonious approach to building that respects and blends into the environment.

Rates start at $680 per night. For bookings and more information, visit thesearanchlodge.com/lodging/sea-ranch-living or contact guestservices@thesearanchlodge.com.

The Outset launches a Skin Survival Kit in partnership with “Jurassic World Rebirth”

Scarlett Johansson’s clean beauty brand, The Outset, has teamed up with Universal Pictures for a limited-edition skincare drop inspired by her latest blockbuster.

The Skin Survival Kit, created in collaboration with “Jurassic World Rebirth,” is designed to keep your skin calm, hydrated and protected — whether you are facing harsh climates or prehistoric chaos.

“Jurassic World Rebirth,” which hits theaters July 2, stars Johansson as Zora Bennett, a covert operations expert navigating a world where dinosaurs roam once again. “These were the products I relied on through filming to keep my skin hydrated and looking radiant, no matter what,” she said of the kit’s lineup.

The Skin Survival Kit comes in two versions: a full-size set and a mini travel-ready edit called Escape Minis. Both feature The Outset’s hero formulas, including the Gentle Micellar Antioxidant Cleanser (a non-stripping, makeup-removing staple), the Firming Vegan Collagen Prep Serum (for hydration and bounce), the Nourishing Squalane Daily Moisturizer and the Botanical Barrier Rescue Balm, a multi-tasking balm for dry or irritated skin.

Each kit also includes a collectible Zora Bennett character card and The Field Bag — a chic yet functional accessory inspired by the film’s wardrobe.

The limited-edition Skin Survival Kits are available now at TheOutset.com.
